Honestly! I can’t leave them alone for a minute.
I have returned from London to find that in a moment of boredom, my husband has coloured in some of Malteser’s fur with a red felt tip. *sigh*Sent using BlackBerry?? from Orange

I have returned from London to find that in a moment of boredom, my husband has coloured in some of Malteser’s fur with a red felt tip. *sigh*I’m sitting in my room at Imperial College in South Kensigton, a stone’s throw from the Royal Albert Hall and there is absolutely not a cat to be seen anywhere. Luckily I always have a spare feline photograph about my person, so here is a lovely picture of Willow making my bed his own last Sunday morning. Lovely boy.

A pretty artistic French cat on a windowsill in Bruniquel today. Enjoy!
I’ve been saving this up for a couple of days . . . It’s ……. JOHN THE THREE-LEGGED CAT !!!!!!
My brother Dan, who is a professional historical Live Interpreter and Historical Entertainer , is currently running his three-week-long annual event at Southsea Castle. This is what he told me:
“I’m in Southsea doing my usual summer Tudor time travel thing. We can’t live in the castle last year, so I’ve rented a house for the cast. The house seems to come complete with friendly local cat! He’s long haired enough that it actually took us a day or two of sightings to realise that he was missing a leg (you can’t tell when he’s curled up in the sun two back yards away!), at which point he was promptly named Three-Legged John (after a man hilariously tangentially referenced in Southsea Castle records).
3LJ seems angry a lot, but he’s actually only lashing his tail for balance. He’s very friendly and comes to visit whenever the back door is open. I’m sure this is nothing to do with the fact that we spoil him rotten with bacon and chicken treats!”
Sarah McCarthy’s next-door-neighbour cat seems to be keen on a trip to the supermarket, seaside or garden centre. Most cats I know run at top speed in the opposite direction from cars . . .
I strongly suspect this is a Lilac Point Siamese or Oriental of some kind. I’ll have to ask Sarah to do some detective work.
I’ve been to Y11’s Prom this evening. It was a lovely occasion and I will miss so very many of my pupils. I left a little early, because I was starting to get sentimental.
But I didn’t leave without pocketing a beautiful cupcake and I’m now enjoying it with a cup of tea in my new Hello Kitty mug.
That’s the best cat I can offer you today . . .
One of @Rantingteacher’s four cats Mehefin, familiarly addressed as MevMev, enjoying the sunshine curled up on a plant pot of heather. As one does.
Hullo. My name is Patchy. I am a rock star. Hey, I’ve got this cool puzzle (see if you can do it):
Today I received this cross-stitched purrfect cat from Alexa Lang, the mother of Gareth, who was in my tutor group and my French class and has officially left today. Alexa made specially it for me and I was so touched I cried. She added a very kind personal message and it made me feel appreciated.
Thank you so much Alexa. I hope Gareth is still able to walk when he gets back from the coast-to-coast.
A random cat photographed by my husband John today while he was out and about.
