We recently turned the central heating on for the first time since March and as a consequence the cats are sleeping in lots of new spots. Willow snuggled up on the dining table to be near the radiator. He also lay on the patchwork and leather bag I started in August and plan to finish at half term. Thanks, Willy, it’s all furry now.
I regularly go for a nap on Sunday afternoons, which makes me a cat magnet. This was the view when I woke up one afternoon a couple of weeks ago.
I love Friday evenings. It’s always great to get here, no matter what sort of week I’ve had. It’s been a busy time during these first few days of term, meeting, greeting and trying to engage lots of young people. We will spend many hours together between now and July and if our learning time is to be enjoyable and productive, I need to set the correct tone right from the début!
So of course, I was tired when I got home and snuggled on the sofa under one of my home-made quilts. The boys spied an opportunity and colonised my lap within moments. I fell into a happy doze. ZZZzzzzz …
I have been making a loose cover for the footstool we bought from Ikea yesterday. Ted assembled it, in his first flat pack success. But the cover is boring dark grey, so I have made a bonkers cover with some Ikea fabric that looks as if the Magic Roundabout team designed it. I’ll show you tomorrow.
Anyway, I had to get the ironing board out and the boy-cats love it.
