It’s been a busy day here at Joyce Towers involving sorting, chucking, cleaning and a trip to the tip. Most satisfying, but we have a lot more to do.
Excellent news about Mouse, too! As I write, I have three cats sitting on my lap. Mouse is sandwiched between Milka and Percy and they’re all contentedly asleep. I’ll know she’s totally settled when I spot them washing each other. Nearly sorted.
I couldn’t get all three in one picture, so you’ll have to be happy with Percy draped over Mouse.
Percy adores John and absolutely insists on having a big cuddle and many strokes when we come home.
I regularly go for a nap on Sunday afternoons, which makes me a cat magnet. This was the view when I woke up one afternoon a couple of weeks ago.

Still working now. Do you hear that, Michael Gove? I’M STILL WORKING NOW, HAVING STARTED AT 5AM. The LEAST you can do is allow me a decent pension when I retire at 67.
Percy likes to supervise when I print work for school at home. I wish he’d do his bit tonight, because my printer is not picking up the signal from my computer over the wi-fi. Soooo annnnoooyyyyiinnnnggggg!!!
I love Friday evenings. It’s always great to get here, no matter what sort of week I’ve had. It’s been a busy time during these first few days of term, meeting, greeting and trying to engage lots of young people. We will spend many hours together between now and July and if our learning time is to be enjoyable and productive, I need to set the correct tone right from the début!
So of course, I was tired when I got home and snuggled on the sofa under one of my home-made quilts. The boys spied an opportunity and colonised my lap within moments. I fell into a happy doze. ZZZzzzzz …
