A Cat A Day: 13/366

Photographic evidence that Willow is very fond of Florence. She was sitting there first and he appeared and curled himself around her. The shadow in the top right of the picture is Cosmo, who is having a difficult phase at the moment. It’s taking him a while to adjust to the almost simultaneous loss of Rosie and the arrival of Florence. We are pretty sure that his eyesight is poor and that’s why he is so shy and easily frightened. If he can’t see or understand what is happening, it’s incomprehensible or positively scary. So, despite the fact that he’s huge, strong and impressively handsome, he’s a classic scaredy-cat.

Happy New Year!

Bonne Année, Guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr and Feliz Año Nuevo.

This is my last post on my 365 Project blog. When I started, I just wanted to see if I could do the same thing every day for a whole year, no matter what it was. I almost achieved that and am very proud, having managed to post from the UK, France and Germany and brought you pictures and stories of large and small cats from all over the world.

My thanks go to each and every person who has read, contributed, commented, subscribed, re-tweeted and visited over the last twelve months. I absolutely would have given it up a long time ago if it hadn’t been for you all.

But this is not an Oscar speech, so the main thing to tell you is that I am going to do it all again. I have set up a new Posterous space at a-cat-a-day.posterous.com and hope that some of you will continue to check out the kitty news, pictures and stories over there.

In the meantime, here is pretty newly-named Florence.

Happy New Year!

Bonne Année, Guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr and Feliz Año Nuevo.

Welcome to my new A Cat A Day for 2012. I never intended to continue to blog daily the way I did in 2011, but with a poorly Rosie-cat and new little Florence in the house, I just felt I had to.

If you’re rejoining me, it’s great to see you back. If you’re a new reader, Welcome!!

I can’t keep this blog going without the kind contributions others make, so if you have a cat picture and or story you are happy to share with me, please do get in touch by adding a comment or finding me on twitter, where my username is @wizenedcrone.

In the meantime, here is pretty newly-named Florence.
