I work with Yen-Min Anderson, who comes from Taiwan. At February half-term she married her husband in a beautiful ceremony in Bristol (I know it was beautiful, because I saw the photographs). As one does, Yen-Min got married again in the Easter break. Luckily, she married the same chap again, but this time in Taiwan. The honey-mooners took this photograph and let me share it with you.
Here is what Yen-Min told me: “[This] … is the cat we saw at a restaurant on Orchid Island. It was sitting on a sofa when we were browsing the handmade souvenirs at the restaurants. I don’t know its name, either. The cat is not afraid of people, so lots of tourists like to take photos of it. The restaurant is near the sea, so we and the cat could hear the sound of sea when it was quiet.”

Can you tell which is Tango and which is a cuddly toy? I had to look a couple of times. Tango lives at the home of three brothers who attend my school. Their mum Alexa kindly let me have some photographs so that Tango could have her moment of fame. One day I will post some pictures of her kittens.
Alexa’s oldest son leaves our school soon and I will miss him and the rest of his Year 11 French class very much.
Sometimes Isobel comes and asks to borrow my camera. She did so at some point last week and I’ve just discovered this charming close-up portrait of Willow. Well done Izzy, a great photo! Sent using BlackBerry® from Orange
Yesterday, we had a cat and a dog, today we have a cat and some fish, courtesy of James Bancroft. This is Gizmo, keeping the closest possible eye on a very odd-looking fish (sorry James, I am a fish-ignoramus). Gizmo looks very comfortable and warm.
I love that the classic enemies, cats and dogs, sometimes live together in harmony. Polly and Merlin live with Annalise Adam and Merlin is still very young and doesn’t yet know what’s what. This is a total action-shot of a surprise encounter. To me, it appears that Merlin is curious and Polly is mightily surprised. Soon I will bring you a picture of Polly at rest.
Great photo; thanks Annalise!
Hendrix is back! He’s a splendid Bengal who we already met on 25th April. I received this beautiful photograph from Mark yesterday and had to share it with you straight away. Gorgeous photography, Mark!
Another quickie after a long day: a daft experimental picture of Cosmo, taken when we had just acquired our first webcam and were having fun with the special effects.
Busy old day today. Just a quickie – this is Cosmo’s father, a siamese tabby point. Cosmo’s mother was a lilac point and he emerged as a pleasing mix – a lilac tabby point. And gorgeous too.
Yesterday was Teddy’s 10th birthday and we had a party for 8 of his friends. This photograph shows him tired and happy, with pink rosy cheeks just before bedtime. Cosmo is his favourite cat and Ted calls him ‘The King’.
