Rosie In A Jumper was so good on Saturday that I had to bring you another photograph.

When you’re an 11 year-old girl, it’s the summer holidays, it’s pouring down with rain and your mum has banned you from watching the television, then it’s clearly time to dress the cat up in a teddy bear’s jumper.
Uh Oh!
I’ve come up to bed and Rosie’s got here before me …

Nearly forgot ACAD today. It’s very humid at the moment, so we’ve been sleeping with the bedroom door open. Woke up this morning to find Rosie and Willow had settled comfortably on to John’s t-shirt shelf.

Last day of term!!! From left to right:
Malteser, me, Isobel and Rosie.
Izzy and I are both wearing our new joke specs from the pound shop because they make us laugh and behind us on the shelf is Isobel’s Y6 leavers’ photograph. New exciting times are ahead after our hard-earned break.

Rosie doesn’t like me. She makes it very obvious by being lovely with everyone else and giving me mean looks and treating me with contempt.
However, after I came back from Germany last week, she sniffed me thoroughly and then let me stroke her. I think my new post-Germany scent must be more acceptable, because now I’m allowed to pick her up and she even smarmed around my knees this morning.
I am encouraged.

When Rosie runs, her dangly flabby tummy swings from side to side. It’s hilarious to see and we’ve been trying to capture it on film since she came to live with us in December. This is John’s attempt from today, but sadly his camera isn’t very high quality. We need to get the Flip camera out and keep it handy.
Emma, I hope you aren’t offended, but Rosie’s jelly belly cheers me up every time I see it swing !

Lovely to be home to cosy Rosie and Willow. I have just used Google Maps to work out that over 2 days as Trip Leader, I made all 47 of us walk at least 9½ miles, much of it in the rain.

A quickie today; it’s Friday evening and I’m plum-tuckered. Willow and Rosie have annexed the basket Pushkin used to sleep in. His scent must have faded since he passed away in February.
But I haven’t forgotten him…
