Malteser settled comfortably on the back of Isobel’s knees. Who is dafter? He for sitting in a silly place or she for holding still?

Today I bring you A Cat A Day from la belle France. This wonderful creature is called Minette and she is very friendly, as are my lovely hosts Michel et Geneviève. Courtesy of Minette I have also learned that a tortoiseshell cat is called ‘une isabelle’ in French. Of course, I think this is marvellous, because my gorgeous daughter is named Isobel.

Malteser has been declared officially better. He continued to be very polite to the vet, but let out some hair-raising shrieks in the car on the way there and back. Have a listen and see if your own cat responds to the noises Teaser made.

The vet we saw today told us that Malteser is improving on his steroids and anti-biotics. But he needs to take them for another week. Malteser won’t mind because it means we’ll have to give him lots more freshly cooked treats with the tablets hidden inside.
Plus… the vet is Spanish, from Las Islas Canarias. We said ¡Hasta Luego y gracias! at the end.

Pushkin has passed away. An awfully sad day for all of us. I don’t have the heart to search for long for a photograph of him. This picture is from way back when Isobel was tiny and we were sitting outside enjoying the sunshine in the garden. Although I don’t look very cheerful . . .

Isobel and I took a chance to get closer to Willow this morning. In spite of his quizzical ears, we’re sure he’s more comfortable than a few days ago when he was last picked up, because he didn’t tremble and shake this time.
Nice shot of my generous number of chins too; bonus!
