Helen Myers has kindly shared this adorable photograph of Milou and Céline for today’s blog photograph. This pair look very well installed on a freshly-made bed, if I’m not mistaken. Thank you for introducing us Helen!

The first Cat A Day dog makes an appearance today. Here are Holly and Fudge who live with Lynda Dixon.
Today’s guest cat lives with Claire Parker and this is what she told me about her:
“Lilu is a british chocolate tortie colourpoint, an elderly lady now at nearly 13! How many years is that in cat years? Very fluffy, very gentle, thinks she’s human, sleeps all night and tries to eat my porridge !!”
Nice to meet you Lilu; your fur looks super-soft and your eyes are a gorgeous colour.
Alex Bellars and his wife Catherine have a new cat in the house. Aeryn (what a beautiful name!) arrived from the cat shelter just a couple of weeks ago and she has been very shy. But if you look carefully, you will see that she is allowing someone to rub her tummy, a sure sign of trust from any cat. She’s starting to settle right in. Cats know when they’re on to a good thing.
These two comfortable and contented cats live with Nicki Allman. This is what she told me about them:
This is Rosie and Storm. 2 sisters. Mum was persian but as you can see dad must have been tabby. Both as different as you can imagine. Rosie is aggressive but sociable. Storm is gentle but quiet. And they never lie together!
Say hello to Fudge. Beautiful Fudge belongs to Lynda Dixon, whose daughter Emma brought Rosie and Willow to live with us. They are settling really well now and Willow has come to sit on John’s knee for cuddles three times this weekend. Progress progress progress.
A celebrity cat today!! Scatty, who lives with Dughall McCormick, has her own Twitter account: @dughallscat. Here, she’s modelling a MacBook, for which she clearly has a great affection. How beautifully her eyes go with the impressively orange carpet.
Today’s guest cat photographs were taken by my mum, from whom I inherited my respect and admiration for cats. These two Burmese kittens belong to friends of hers and my stepfather’s. One is called Ginger and the other is Pickles. No mystery which is which.
John snapped today’s guest cat through his office window.

This is Nyamuk, my first guest cat.
Nyamuk belongs to my friend Alex and seems to be taking advantage of a pile of clothes Alex hasn’t got round to putting away. Alex needs to find a home for his left-over Christmas wrapping paper too. . . (glad he can’t see my house).
