John and I have been bringing our belongings back home after over 2 years in storage. We lifted the mattress off our bed to put the Christmas decorations underneath and Cosmo naturally jumped up because he always likes to view the world from as high a position as possible.

This picture also presents an opportunity to admire our door-less wardrobe. There’s still a lot of DIY to do at Joyce Villas.

The birds are gathering ready to migrate. We also have a number of juvenile seagulls around our neighbourhood at the moment. For a couple of days now, Willow and Cosmo have been sitting on the landing windowsill in the early morning, watching and doing their best impressions of tweeting birds.

If you’ve never heard it, you might not believe me that cats will ‘chatter’ and make other odd noises while watching birds. I am trying to get a sound recording and if I can, I will prove it to you some time soon.

I was working at the dining room table this evening, when I heard an unusual rustling sound. When I investigated, I discovered two naughty boys mountaineering in the utility room. Later, they were both too proud to admit they couldn’t get down. After laughing and pointing at them for a while and taking more photographs, I finally helped them to the floor.

Isn’t other people’s junk interesting?
