A Cat A Day: 175/365

I have to acknowledge Wimbledon in this 365 day cycle. I’m not big on Great British institutions, but I do love Wimbledon. This is Alex Bellars’ kitten Skimbleshanks following Andy Murray’s progress in the 3rd round. As I write, it’s one set all between Murray and his opponent Ljubicic.

We all wish Ljubicic would put a hat on, because we don’t like the way the top of his head looks.

Milly the cat belongs to Kate Robinson, my music-teaching colleague. We have already met Millie twice. I thought to make her my guest cat today because I’ve just spent a couple of days in Germany with Kate and she was a really reliable and supportive fellow-tripper.

Vielen Dank Fr. Robinson!

It’s been a challenge trying to get online to post this picture of a tiger at Cologne zoo today. Absolutely worn out after walking about 4 miles in the pouring rain. But I’m really impressed with how our pupils have stayed cheerful throughout.

I’m proud to say that I still haven’t missed a single day of my 365 Challenge since the 1st of January.

I’m on my way to Cologne, leading the annual school trip of Y7 students. Today’s cat was sent to me by my great colleague Sarah McCarthy who is also along on the visit.

The cat belongs to Sarah’s next door neighbour. Apparently, if Sarah opens her kitchen window, the cat jumps in and dashes round the house. Sent using BlackBerry?? from Orange
