A Cat A Day: 301/365

John and I have been bringing our belongings back home after over 2 years in storage. We lifted the mattress off our bed to put the Christmas decorations underneath and Cosmo naturally jumped up because he always likes to view the world from as high a position as possible.

This picture also presents an opportunity to admire our door-less wardrobe. There’s still a lot of DIY to do at Joyce Villas.

Lynne McBoyle lives in Scotland and I think she likes to travel a lot. I posted a picture she sent me of a cat at Giverny in France earlier this week and we have also seen a Siberian Tiger from Las Vegas.

This pensive feline is from Argentina, where Lynne photographed it at Recoleta Cemetery in Buenos Aires.

Thanks so much Lynne, I have some more of your pictures to show between now and the end of the year.

The birds are gathering ready to migrate. We also have a number of juvenile seagulls around our neighbourhood at the moment. For a couple of days now, Willow and Cosmo have been sitting on the landing windowsill in the early morning, watching and doing their best impressions of tweeting birds.

If you’ve never heard it, you might not believe me that cats will ‘chatter’ and make other odd noises while watching birds. I am trying to get a sound recording and if I can, I will prove it to you some time soon.

Kind-hearted cat lover Helen has rescued this beautiful lilac female and her moggie kittens. There is a mysterious but sad back-story and the cats have arrived with various ailments, including cat flu and fleas. The new addition to Helen’s home is called Luna. I love her pretty name. Soon, the babies will need homes.

You are a generous hero for taking action today, Helen.
