A Cat A Day 2013 #52

Bridget the Seal point is fiercely devoted to my friend Helen and won’t allow anyone else to touch her (which can pose problems at the vet’s). Luna the Lilac point was rescued by Helen just after she gave birth to kittens with a mystery moggie dad. Helen nursed shy sweet Luna and the sickly, weak kittens to health, paid their vet’s bills and found them loving homes. Helen is a very kind person.

This picture is special because these two gorgeous girls rarely cuddle up together.

PhotoRosa is Florence’s sister and she still lives with her breeder Jo, who kept her as a breeding queen. You see her here with her kittens in a photograph from last week. I think they are all so beautiful.
Sadly for Jo and for Rosa, who is a great mum, pregnancy and kitten-birth don’t agree with Rosa, so she’s not going to have another litter. The silver lining for us is that Rosa might retire to our house! We are all waiting with fingers crossed for her to feel top-fit again and perhaps she might join us at Easter. Squeak!

Beautiful Fudge belongs to Reina Andaluza, a fellow languages teacher with whom I have connected on Twitter. I actually don’t know her real name, which is an odd feeling. Reina A has also let me have a photograph of Fudge’s friend Minx, who we will see soon. Thank you for sharing.

On a different note, I read today that Posterous is definitely closing on 30th April, so I will have to spend some time this half-term choosing an alternative host for ACAD and exporting, then importing this blog.

Annoying, but I shall not be thwarted in my feline pointlessness.
