I have Ted to thank for today’s pictures. He stood on his head and photographed the four cats in their banana-box under the dining table. It’s been pretty well chewed since the last time we saw it. I’ll have to pop to Tesco for a replacement.

You wouldn’t think it if you met him, but Willow is our most adventurous cat. He seems rather solid and staid compared to the rascally young Milka and Percy, but he has a daring side. Once he sneaked out and enjoyed a whole night of freedom before we found him. We don’t live in the countryside, so our cats are confined to the house and yard so they don’t get run over or stolen.
Anyway, I’m wittering. A few weeks ago Willow found something to jump off onto the fence and made another escape bid. We caught up with him pronto this time and moved his jumping block. Poor chap must be so frustrated.
Do you like our olive trees? North East England is the perfect environment for them …

Things are settling well at Siamese Towers. Quartz and Rosa remember each other and have given each other confidence and companionship. Rosa is grooming Quartz as if she is his mum. It seems that my weakness which led me to buy another of Jo’s kittens has been the key to making Rosa settle at last.
Willow is a total dude and is tolerant of and mildly interested in all other cats and hostile to none. Florence is undecided through absence-under-the-bed.
Milka is our only current concern. He’s been hissing at Quartz and has even given him a paw-bat or two. I’m sanguine that all will be well in a couple of days.
