I’m on my way to Cologne, leading the annual school trip of Y7 students. Today’s cat was sent to me by my great colleague Sarah McCarthy who is also along on the visit.

My friend and colleague Jonathan l’Hoiry told me today that his lovely cat Ellie died last week. She was 16 and had moved with Jonathan each time he’s changed home and was devoted to him.
We each admitted that we feel more sad than seems possible when a much-loved pet dies. It’s a tough time.
Cosmo is always so pleased to greet me when I get up. While I’m washing and brushing my teeth, he often parades round the bath miaowing loudly. Sent using BlackBerry® from Orange
