A Cat A Day: 202/365

Today’s cat Mischief recently passed away and my friend Marie Connolly asked if I would feature her on my blog as a little tribute. Mischief belonged to Marie’s friend Maudie and was loved by all who knew her. This is what Marie told me:

” Mischief (aka ‘The Chief’) belonged to a very good friend Maudie. She’s been part of our lives for more than 12 years and her owner describes her as ‘the most clever, funny, legendary tabby cat ever’.

She is sorely missed, but won’t be forgotten. “

She had a lovely face, didn’t she? I have a second picture of Mischief which I will bring to you soon.

Because the children have finished for the summer, but I’m still at school, we’ve had to farm them out this week. They’ve been at Nana’s for a couple of days and this is Isobel giving Willow a home-coming cuddle. I know it’s blurry, but I love this picture anyway.

My daughter says I’ve spoiled my 365 Challenge. For the first time since 1st January, I missed posting to this blog yesterday. My son fell off his bike yesterday evening and in the aftermath of cuddles and reassurances I just forgot.

But I decided a few years ago not to be so hard on myself, nothing is ruined is it?  It is a shame, but not the end of the world.

John brought an office chair home for Isobel, because we need to make sure she has a good workspace to do homework when she goes to Secondary school in September.

But … Malteser has decided it’s his and sleeps there all day. John is responsible for this (not-very-good-quality) video – is it cat-cruelty? I leave you to decide.
