I’m a day or two behind, so here are some catch-up pictures.
When I get up in the morning, there are always cats on guard in their bed on the landing. It’s mainly to make sure they can get a prompt start on miaowing for food.
Percy is recovering beautifully and is currently warming my lap, while Milka warms John up. This dreadful photograph shows him preventing us from watching that excellent 1998 action film, Ronin. Jean Reno is one of our favourite actors and the film is set in France. I’m confident next week’s holiday will not be as exciting or as dangerous.
Today was a big day for little Percy. He lost his beautiful pom-pom-like gentlemen’s accoutrements in the interests of our entire family’s future comfort and happiness. Male cat urine is appallingly stinky stuff and we just have to make sure our boy cats never spray anywhere. Neutering at 6 months does the trick. Percy has recovered perfectly and is back home and behaving as if nothing has happened.
The smiling gentleman is our lovely vet Gert Briers at Vets 4 Pets in Hartlepool.
I have been making a loose cover for the footstool we bought from Ikea yesterday. Ted assembled it, in his first flat pack success. But the cover is boring dark grey, so I have made a bonkers cover with some Ikea fabric that looks as if the Magic Roundabout team designed it. I’ll show you tomorrow.
Anyway, I had to get the ironing board out and the boy-cats love it.
