This is Helen Daykin’s cat Bridget when she had a broken leg. She looks so miserable. She’s fine now, you’ll be pleased to know.

Chloe the cat belongs to John Sayers, a geography teacher from Newcastle. She clearly has a sense of adventure and considerable suppleness if she can get into that shoe-rack and turn round to face outwards!
This is what John told me about Chloe:
“Chloe is 10 years old as of February and she is a very playful cat. Her party piece is jumping up to my hand to say hello when I walk through the door 🙂 She likes to sleep on the end of our bed and snore.”
I have another picture of Chloe, which I’m saving up for later this year.

Malteser and I enjoying a prolonged cuddle. Oddly, he still somehow smells of Friday’s curry on Sunday evening.
I’m proud of my consistency. I’ve managed to do the same thing every day for one hundred days. Well done me!Sent using BlackBerry?? from Orange

This mad-looking feline lives with my science-teacher colleague, Kendra Wade. Kendra is extremely pregnant at the moment; indeed, today is her due date. But still no baby on the scene.
Whenever Junior does put in an appearance. Blacky is going to be even madder than in this picture. Cats are initially baffled and outraged by newborn babies in my experience. This is what Kendra tells me about Blacky: “He is 16 and still partial to catching the odd catnip fish on a string…Normally he’s far too happy on the back of the sofa though…” Good luck Kendra and I hope your baby comes soon and safely!! I work with a very inspiring young music teacher called Kate Robinson. This is her beautiful cat, Millie. I just love her pretty pink paws. This is what Kate told me about her pet:
“Millie was sold to me quite illicitly via Gumtree from a lady in Newcastle. She is a geordie girl! When I went to visit Millie she looked at me with her big, then blue, eyes (mid-playfight) and the inappropriate price being asked for her didn’t matter anymore, because I completely fell in love with her! She is a very cheeky little girl who loves bathwater, toy mice (she can’t catch real ones) and trying to sleep under the duvet with her mummy! She is now nearly 2 years old.” Sent using BlackBerry® from OrangeA Cat A Day: 97/365
My husband John spotted and snapped this cat when he was out and about. That’s it really…

The lovely Lynda Dixon has recently embarked on a new phase of her life, leaving an old job behind and starting up her own business. It’s at unsettling times like this that the services of a friendly cat are much needed. I hope beautiful Fudge is stepping up to the plate and providing cuddles and purrs on demand. It’s his duty as a feline.

It’s a sad day in my family today and I feel guilty for also feeling sad about Pushkin who died a few weeks ago. Still, here he is relaxing in a patch of sunshine.

This utterly charming kitten is Winston. He is an adult now (see post 25/365) and adorns the home of Helen Daykin. His picture makes my hands itch to stroke him.
