Isobel snapped this cat when she was walking home from school. It has a very suspicious expression.

This morning, after rising at 5:30am, I worked for an hour and a half, got ready and then set off for school. Over 5 hour-long lessons, I taught about 120 different children either French, German or Spanish. I coached a Y11 at lunchtime and at some point I have also done about 135 progress reviews, each with four items of data. After school, I prepared my classroom for tomorrow, then participated in Y11 Parents’ Evening, finally reaching home at 8:20pm.
The picture shows lovely shy Willow having a sniff to make sure he recognised me after I landed on the sofa with a hefty sigh.Sent from my iPhone
The wreckage of my dining table after a heavy marking session late on Sunday. Milka’s not to be persuaded that I can manage alone.

My friend Helen is a fellow cat-lover and shares her home with two fluffy black cats and three Siamese.
As you can see from today’s photograph, sweet baby Pearl joined the family a few short months ago. Chris and Helen’s little one was born 8 weeks early and caused some worry for a while. Happily, she is now thriving and Helen is back at work, while Chris is relishing his r??le as a full-time dad.
Naughty Winston claimed to be baby-sitting this morning, but Helen says it was really just opportunism; cats are not allowed to sit on Pearl’s wool blanket. I imagine this picture was snapped, then Winston was chased.

My friend Lynda sent me this picture of her cat Fudge trying to hide. However, he forgot something, didn’t he?

These four Siamese kittens were born this morning to Belle and Rio. Breeder Joanne Law of Riobelle Siamese, took this picture about three minutes after the last kitten was born. Jo thinks there are three girls and a boy, although she says it’s difficult to be sure so early. This evening, Belle is showing what a good mum she is and all is calm with the kittens healthy and suckling confidently.
I know they are not pretty yet, but it’s always touching to see new babies come into the world, isn’t it? Thank you for permission to use your picture, Jo.Sent from my iPhone
I enjoyed a rather inspiring professional development day today and am now relaxing and looking forward to a peaceful weekend with my family. Friday really is my favourite evening of the week.
Here is the wonderfully-named McNulty who came to live with Clare in the last few weeks. Clare is really good at taking photographs, isn’t she? Another picture of this little guy and his story are coming soon.
Rex is the handsome brother of beautiful Milo, who appeared yesterday. To me, both boys have a steady, wise gaze, as if they know something ineffable we could never know.
I am almost certainly being over-imaginative.Sent from my iPhone
Gorgeous, luxuriantly-furred Milo lives on the Isle of Wight with his brother Rex in the house of Tracy Hall. The cats came from the Cat Protection League and Milo is very sweet, but can be picky and the only person he likes is Tracy herself. I love the clarity and crispness of this photograph.
